Business Storage Ideas for the Office

Top Tip 1 – Minimise the clutter
Quite often, it is not so much that you have nowhere to store things, it is that you do not have enough space to store everything that you have.
The deal you got on 20 huge boxes of paper may have been a bargain but, if you had nowhere to keep it then it will could be hanging around in the corner of the room for a long time.
Just like in the home, we need to take stock of what we have and, more importantly, why we have it. Taking some time to sift through stuff, determining what you have is a great way of deciding not only if you need it, but he type of storage space you need.
Top Tip 2 – Maximise the space you have
Once you know what you have, you will be able to determine what kind of storage options you need. Storage must be practical and maximise the space that is occupies. It must also offer you a solution and not create more problems.
You may think those wicker baskets are cute, and they do fit with your office décor but what will fit in them? What can they be used for? Get the idea…?
Floor space is often under utilised but this is not an excuse to have things stacked up. This is more about ensuring that there is a structure within the space that can offer safe storage solutions.
The height of a room can also offer some great solutions but again, placing things up high and then attempting to access presents the risk of falling or being hit on the head with items – not a great way to be treated in the office!

Top Tip 3 – Moveable units
Some units are great fixed into a space but sometimes, having the versatility to move storage is key to using the space better as your business needs change.
Again, it is all about making sure that what you have is working for you. So maybe a set of drawers for the printing paper, a moveable cupboard with other stationery items in and so on will work a treat in your office.
