8 Gorgeous Kitchen Trends for 2017
At Komandor Storage Solutions, we create bespoke kitchens for customers across the country. As well as being functional, customers want a kitchen that is practical but on-trend.
We have taken a look at the gorgeous trends that we think will be big in 2017…
#1 Dark Floors
The flooring can often be an after-thought in some design but we think starting from the floor and working up is a great way of creating a stylish kitchen. We love the darker floors we have been seeing and working with of late.
#2 Say Hello to “Greige”
We have seen this colour combination more and more of late and we think that in all stylish kitchens we use this combination of grey and beige to create a truly bespoke interior. Use a blue-grey on walls combined with beige cupboard and drawer fronts.
#3 Copper Accessories
The must-have material is copper and we love it as the tap material, as well as copper pans. In a kitchen struggling for a focal point, why not use the cooker extractor hood with a copper covering as the star of the show?
#4 Statement Tiles
If darker floors are not your thing you can still make an impact with statement floor tiles. The trend we seem to be coming across is a heavily patterned tile or hexagonal tiles that can be used to create fantastic stylish addition for the walls and the floor.
#5 Reclaimed Wood or Distressed Look Finish
Fed up of the same-old cupboard door options? Then a reclaimed wood or distress wood finish is the ideal choice for you. Rustic and farmhouse appearance, it is a finish that has notes of individualism but without being too quirky.
#6 English Chic
The other look that many of our customers have enjoyed and we think will continue to be popular in 2017 is the English Chic look. Reminiscent of the farmhouse style, it is a gentle colour scheme of cream, with a kitchen finished with high quality fixtures and fittings. Timeless and elegance, but certainly not dull.
#7 Black Kitchen Appliances
At one time, stainless steel appliances were the default or the main choice for all our customers, with white seen as being too stark and any other colour just not having the same notes of quality. But there has been a shift with black appliances offer the level of chic that people are looking for.
#8 Soften the Edges
We obsess over the utilitarian nature of the kitchen but as we do so, we forget that it is the heart of the home. We have seen to great trends for the coming year that incorporated slip covers on kitchen table chairs, as well as some pretty accessories for the walls and some great colour schemes coming through.
